Description:
The SFDCP Team Leader will lead a team of Retirement Education Counselors that provide consultative retirement education services to a local government deferred compensation plan. 
 
Our mission is to partner with our client in changing how public employees think about retirement and long term financial security. 
This position will be based in San Francisco, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Promote a team environment which fosters collaboration and alignment with client goals
  • Serves as primary point of contact to local governmental departments and key decision makers, developing effective relationships and partnerships
  • Supervisory management of direct reports including hiring, field/individual coaching, and performance management
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with internal partners and management to deliver outstanding client service
  • Travel/expense management and compliance adherence/reporting.
  • Deliver engaging on-site group and individual meetings that focus on increasing the retirement readiness of their employees

  • 5 years experience in Financial Services industry is required.
  • 2 years experience providing retirement education is required.
  • 2 years field management/leadership experience is required.
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 are required.  Series 26 and CA state insurance license preferred. If none, must obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Professional Designation: CRC, CRPC or ChFC preferred. If none, CRC designation required within 180 days of hire.
  • Strong knowledge base of Government 457 and defined benefit plans is required.
  • Proficiency in  Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge base of mutual funds, separate accounts, with an understanding of the risk/reward for all securities required.
