At the Data Center team, we are looking for a Network Engineer to tackle some of the leading challenges in the industry and shape the direction of our products into the future.

You will be working with a team of passionate technical experts, and the ultimate focus in everything you do will be customer satisfaction. The Insieme Business Unit at Cisco provides next generation data center and cloud management solutions with its Application Centric Hybrid Cloud Management platform, Cisco CloudCenter. Lead by the some of industry’s legendry engineers, the Insieme business unit is uniquely positioned to transform the datacenter and cloud deployment landscape by adopting an application centric policy driven approach whereby the compute, storage and networking needs of applications drive the underlying infrastructure.

 

Who You Are

You will be a self-starter, who has very clear communication skills and will be able to work in different roles. Knowledge of fundamentals is essential, you should be able to support all protocols and features covered by NX-OS for this product line.  You will need to be analytical - the problems you work on will be complex, spanning various functional areas and technologies. You will act as a Technical expert and liaison from the Business Unit to our field teams. You will be a focal point for high impact, large account problem resolution.

 

Requirements for this Role

·         Typically requires Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent plus 4-6 years Data Center related experience

·         You have in-depth knowledge of the following areas: Data Center Networking and Data Center Products

·         You've demonstrated networking experience including TCP/IP and Routing Protocols.

·         Troubleshooting experience using tools like wireshark, IXIA, Spirent etc

·         Prior direct customer support experience is a must

·         Experience with the following products is HIGHLY desirable: Cisco Nexus 3000, 9000
