What You'll Do

An integrated part of Data Center organization, the Data Center Network Manager team is responsible for monitoring and automating the management of Cisco’s Nexus portfolio. The DCNM team is looking for a strong UX Engineer to help define new UI features that will elevate the experiences of our global customers, improve the existing management system, and work to define future goals for improvement and development.

 

An ideal candidate will be a creative individual with strong wire-framing and prototyping chops. This individual will be willing to innovative thought leadership in UI layout and design.

 

Responsibilities:

Creative and Innovative thought leadership in User Interface layout and design.

Evolve existing User Interfaces to increase interactivity, intuitiveness, and other functional and aesthetic aspects of the web based UI.

Participate in design, development, and delivery of all new web based UI components.

Prototype / wireframes for new web UI interfaces, prototype / wireframe improvements to existing web UI interfaces.

Collaborate with leadership and marketing to ensure seamless flow and interactivity.

 

Who You'll Work With

Data Center is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. Data Center also developed a 40G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of 40G optics to better compete with other competitor switches.

Who You Are

5+ years of experience in delivering wireframes, UX flows & interactive prototypes.

Hands-on experience in building intuitive designs leveraging tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision, Dreamweaver, Pages, iRise, Sketch etc..,

Defining style guides and pattern libraries for global design patterns.

Experience in producing final web-ready assets and interaction specs for web development.

 

Nice to have:

Fluent in modern web standards, platforms (HTML 5), image optimization and digital graphics.

Experience in doing AB testing and Usability tests.
