Job Description

The Mental Health Tech will work within the nursing department under the direction of an RN Charge Nurse.  This position will provide direct patient care through a structured safe therapeutic environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing as an active part of the treatment team

  • Patient close observation

  • Patient escorts

  • Providing redirection & consistency

Job Requirements

This opportunity is available to individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.Bachelors Degree preferred.

  • One year of mental health experience or background preferred.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Physical agility to manage patients.

  • Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift & grasp

  • Successful completion of Assessment of Care Effectiveness (ACE) test prior to hire and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) & CPR within 90 days of employment.
