Role Summary

The Technical Analyst will function in the role of an OPTIX administrator with the primary function of supporting the CB Order Management (OM) markets.  The OM role has responsibility across multiple markets which require the OPTIX Admin to have a big picture view with ability to understand underlying impacts of the individuality of the markets on the processes used to support the business.  

The Technical Analyst understands the business/project needs & works with the business to validate requirements, implement OPTIX workflows, support UAT activities, function as an OPTIX Subject Matter Expert (SME). The Technical Analyst supports the OM markets by providing the following services; Ticket Resolution, Tool Administration, Change Management (testing, system impact assessment, Market change request intake).  The Technical Analyst works closely with other members of the technical teams to ensure all requirements are addressed in the solution design and to ensure that the planned changes do not negatively impact the Order Management COE workflows and processes.


Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Function as a CB market Point of Contact (POC) for changes and a direct line into ATL (tickets, defects, changes, releases, UAT)
  • Is the OPTIX system Subject Matter Expert (SME) collaborating with the business to understand business requirements and pain points, consult and educate on best practice approach to OPTIX system capabilities, problem resolution, and business requirement definition.
  • Primary owner of Order Management workflow definitions and redline activities
  • Support Product Catalog governance process
  • Represent CB market interests as relates to OPTIX enhancements and releases
  • Engages and participates in projects/applications requirement sessions in order to ensure proper technical requirements are clearly documented, testable, and managed.
  • May work closely with business and boundary partners (Field Operations, Customer Care and vendors) to support application lifecycle from development through implementation. 
  • Communicates technical and business aspects of work efforts between team members.
  • Contributes to analysis of impact on existing applications & databases based on requirements.
  • Understands applications and systems and provides input to architects/engineers during the analysis phase.
  • Works directly with Release Management teams to complete application implementations with minimal impact to customers. 
  • Participates in peer review of solution design documentation.
  • Develops measurements and reports on key service-level metrics.
  • Performs audits to support governance processes related to data integrity, workflows and product catalog.
  • As SME, provides OPTIX training support

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

2 or more years of experience required in related field (Engineering, Information Technology, Sales and Order Management Support)
Requires strong knowledge of OPTIX order management, or similar order management systems.
Familiarity with ICOMS or similar order entry/billing systems
Excellent analystical, interpersonal, communiation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.  Ability to remain flexible and supportive within a maturing organization.

Preferred 

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems)
Experience in telecommunications industry desired with a background in CRM, Order Management, Billing or similar systems.
