What You'll Do

o A technical expert providing technical assistance to Cisco customers located world-wide, while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
o Assist customers in troubleshooting hardware/software related issues on various Cisco Switching platforms - mainly Catalyst and Nexus portfolios.
o Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to resolve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity.
o Analyze, Configure and Troubleshoot Core, Distribution, Access layer switches and networks.
o Effectively utilizes the moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and resolve customer found issues.
o Highly responsive and sensitive to customer reported issues according to its severity. Should be able to quickly resolve customer issues.
o End to end ownership of customer service requests. Collaborates with all relevant stakeholders - internal and external, and acts as focal point until the problem is resolved.
o Exercises judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
o Presents ideas and interacts within TAC and development teams at peer level
o Ability to interact with customers in a variety of mediums.
o Utilization of a good understanding of Cisco business strategies and drivers to guide activities.
o Ability to drive change through innovation.
o Drive for continuous learning, results orientation and teamwork.

The TAC team seeks a Customer Support Engineer in Routing Protocols and Architecture technology to join some of the industry's brightest minds in developing and deploying today's most advanced Internet technologies. In this role, you will gain insight on the detailed functionality of Cisco products and partner with all distributed elements of the service chain.

Who You Are

* Required: 7+ years total work experience in the Information Technology industry; 1+ year related working experience in technical support or professional services. Working knowledge of Networking industry, products and protocols
* Preferred: Certification CCIE, CCNP, other Cisco certifications and other related Industry certifications.
* Strong Networking and in-depth knowledge in Cisco switching and routing technologies.
* Well-versed with networking tools such as traffic generators (e.g lxia), sniffers et al.
* Solid experience supporting and configuring medium to large enterprise LANs
* Troubleshoot product and network problems of high complexity. Has strong in-depth knowledge in LAN Switching technologies.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good Customer handling skills. Ability to handle tough situations effectively.
* Strong attention to details.
* Ability to interact at multiple levels of an organization.
* Collaborating mindset and Team player.
