Who You'll Work With

Our FEP team covers the most of Cisco routing and switching products including Data center products, IOT and INSBU. We are a group of industry leading frontend power experts and deliver world-class FE power solutions with advanced power architecture and high efficiency. This position is mainly to develop frontend power solutions for INSBU for data Center and Cloud space.

Who You Are

We are looking for an expert Hardware Engineer for our INSBU products, who can develop highly reliable FEP systems for Cisco networking products and support Front-End Power (FEP) supply sustaining engineering activities including field failure analysis (FA) with root cause and corrective action.

Responsibilities:

  • User and group management (Windows Active Directory and NIS).
  • DNS/DHCP server management (Windows and Linux).
  • Operating system installation and configuration (Windows, Linux/KVM, VMware).
  • NetApp and Linux NFS storage management.
  • Backups (disk-to-disk with rsync and rsnapshot).
  • Configuration of management devices, e.g. console servers, managed PDU's and network switches.
  • Manage LSF grid server farm.
  • EDA tool installation and license management (FlexLM).
  • Maintaining resource documentation.
  • Provide end-user desktop support.
  • Provide after hours, on-call engineering/QA support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You have worked in dynamic rapidly changing high tech environment.
  • You are experienced in working in a large-scale production development and QA lab environment.
  • Good technical hands on experience with Linux (RedHat/CentOS).
  • Solid hands experience with vCenter 5.x, ESX 5.x and Linux KVM.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory and NIS.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering and QA on server configuration, test environment setup and implementation.
  • Solve complex IT issues and define strategic and tactical solutions/recommendations.
  • Scripting with one or more of the following: Bash/PERL/Python is a plus.
