What You'll Do
Cisco Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI) simplifies and accelerates data center application deployments. ACI's broad ecosystem extends the comprehensive services and management of the data center platform.

Who You'll Work With

The ACI Escalation team is growing to adapt and support Cisco customers. We are looking for energetic, passionate, and eager-to-learn candidates to participate as an escalation engineer on a team that supports critical accounts, development of software, and final tier escalations for Cisco's SDN Solutions. This role allows for significant influence in the usability, interoperability, and quality of ACi/APIC and all Cisco Datacenter product lines.

Who You Are 

Role & Responsibilities
* Solving complex customer hw and sw issues while potentially interfacing with DE, customer support, customers, account teams, CAP, TAC, HTTS, hw teams, and executives.
* Working in a cross functional environment, interfacing with Software Development, critical accounts, Manufacturing, Technical Marketing, account teams, TAC, customers and Product Marketing to resolve software, hardware, and design issues.
* Defining new software product features. Championing new, improved design methodologies. Define or improve Reliability, Availability, Serviceability (RAS) goals for products.
* Troubleshooting new features and hardware, and providing feedback to development teams on improvements prior to FCS.
* Initiating informal reviews of ideas and technical objectives within and across business units. Encouraging and accepting personal feedback. Mentors junior team members. Provides technical guidance to others.

Minimum Qualifications
* Extensive working knowledge of Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization technologies, products and protocols.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to interface with critical account customers and to troubleshoot network down situations with confidence. Superior bug finding and testing skills. Ability to solve system wide problems.  
* Proven crisis management skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers to understand and address complex and critical issues.
* Understanding of customers Data Center operational models including Apps, Compute, Networking and storage and how these are tied together  
* Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 4-5 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 5-7+ yrs related experience.

Desired Skills
* Excellent technical foundations and deep working knowledge of Cisco DC Technologies and protocols including NX-OS.
* Strong background in TCP/IP, LAN and Data Center architecture, implementation and troubleshooting and the ability to apply extensive expertise in hardware and software. Working knowledge of switching fundamentals such as LACP, VPC, VXLAN, IGMP snooping, IPv4 and IPv6, and Multicast Routing
* CCIE Data Center or Routing and Switching
* Scripting and Programming
