We are building cutting edge products to enhance our portfolio of best of breed software applications, and defining our path to success through innovation and execution.  What You'll Do  We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer to evangelize products and technologies to meet aggressive business targets and drive product direction in close-collaboration with product managers, sales and engineering. You should be a self-starter and eager to learn with little assistance, the new products and leverage your findings and deductions to provide valuable inputs to Engineering and the overall TME organization. The Network Automation Technical Marketing Engineer role will include the following activities, but are not limited to: * Serve as a technical subject matter expert on our developing network automation software portfolio * The candidate must be capable of contributing to the design, validation, deployment, and support of * Develop proof-of-concept solutions for architectural elements, such as analytics, platform component integrations and so on. * Lead this team's participation in industry events like Cisco Live, by way of giving demos, presentations etc. * Work closely with architects, product marketing and engineering teams capturing requirements and driving these into the proof-of-concepts, reusable component development and describing the technical aspects in architecture documents. * Work with the field sales teams, engineering and product management groups to communicate technical solutions, architecture and design aspects and features that result from various projects. * Develop collateral (presentations, technical briefs and troubleshooting guides) for customer and field usage. * Develop technical training material for field and internal stakeholders  Who You Are  Minimum Qualifications * Minimum Bachelor of Engineering/Computer Science with 8-12 years of experience of Networking Technologies in fields such as technical or product marketing or engineering. * Strong software knowledge and capabilities in areas like Java, Python, Ansible, Puppet/Chef, Kafka and the like.* Strong domain expertise in Networking, SDN/Programmability along with the understanding of market dynamics, competition, etc. * Strong knowledge of Network orchestration and controller systems, Operational support systems (OSS), Web Services based Application Frameworks and Big Data platforms * Proficiency in virtualization and OpenStack * Ability to troubleshoot networks * Hands on experience in setting up labs and demos * Ability to work in a cross functional environment * Ability to work with limited supervision in defining initial goals and addressing complex issues as they arise * Understands the cross-business unit dependencies and develops an action plan to maintain constant communication * Strong communication skills (oral and written) and Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent organization skills * Ability to thrive in an environment requiring significant multitasking * Ideal candidate will have past experience working at network operator Why Cisco  We connect everything: people, processes, data, and things.
