Role Description

The successful candidate will provide leadership, strategic direction and tactical oversight of the process, product technology functions in support of Dalian site Aseptic and SOD manufacturing operations. This includes production support, validation/troubleshooting, API localization/continuous improvement projects, capital projects development/support, technology transfer implementation projects, new product development and cost improvement projects.


Primary Accountabilities Includes

Provide the leadership to develop of the key scientific and technical resource supporting manufacturing process for Aseptic and SOD products. Maintain high standards for the technical work delivered by the department; increase the breadth and depth of the skill base in alignment with the site strategic direction.

Provide timely and thorough technical support to teams for technology transfers form other manufacturing operations and to meet site business goals. Lead the department to originate cost and quality improvements, waste reductions and operational efficiencies projects.

As a member of the Dalian site Leadership Team, the successful candidate will contribute to setting and achieving site goals aligned with the PGS value proposition elements. The incumbent will contribute to establishing the strategic direction and tactical plans for the site, being a key member of the project and portfolio steering teams, not limited to Zero Defects, Process safety, Aseptic/SOD Hoshins, capital projects and Technical Products Steering Team.

The successful Candidate must work effectively with other organization at the site and on a global basis, such as PGS Product Portfolio Team, Global Technical Services, PGS SI and SOD sites, WBB and other Center Functions. The successful candidate has demonstrated the cases of excellent behaviors and built an inclusive, team-oriented environment with the department, across the site and across the network.


Normally, Ph. D in related field and 12+ years related experience, MS in related field and 14+ years related experience, or BS in related field and 17+ years related experience.

Demonstrated the cases of previous supervisory management experience in problem solving, decision making, negotiating and conflict resolution skills.

The Candidate has demonstrated skills in quantitative analysis, team facilitation, and effective communications oral and written both in Chinese and English.

Demonstrated the ability to effectively lead and manage change and an in-depth understanding of GMP and regulatory standards.

The candidate must have the proven history of effective performance in team management, coaching, mentoring and commitment to mutual accountability.

The candidate must have the record of demonstrated personal agility and innovation as well as cultivating similar behavior in team environment.
