Responsiblities

    • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing customer-facing applications and websites for business clients.
    • Manage a team of web application developers (back end and front end) working on multiple projects
    • Play the role of a hands-on technical lead on project initiatives as needed
    • Communicate effectively, while working closely with other groups to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of projects

Requirements

    • Experience leading a team of Software Developers; 2+ years of experience preferred.
    • 7+ years experience in software development overall.
    • Excellent communication skills required.
    • Experience with Python, Java and/or other object oriented programming languages
    • Experience with HTML, Javascript
    • Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with agile development or similar methodologies for continuous development of product and technology
    • Experience planning sprints, managing burn-down, removing roadblocks, increasing velocity
    • Data-driven and quantitative mentality.  
    • Use of metrics to monitor and manage software development processes
    • Test automation, performance testing
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred

Nice to Have

    • PostgreSQL
    • Monitoring tools: Librato, AppDynamics
    • Project management experience is a plus
