What You'll Do

* Write documentation sets on complex technical material, according to established standards, with little or no supervision.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to produce accurate, high quality documentation.
* Take ownership for delivering high quality content and meeting delivery deadlines.
* Handles multiple assignments

Plan and Design
* Research complex source material for documentation projects.
* Participate in document planning and content strategy for assigned projects.
* Communicate project status to manager, lead writer, and development teams frequently.
* Regularly analyze existing practices and propose improvements and innovative approaches to improve product documentation and productivity.
* Continuously build knowledge of customers to understand their requirements, adapt documentation to their needs, and advocate for them.

Versatility, Autonomy
* Requires little supervision or guidance with routine assignments and established processes; quickly develops independence with new tasks and requirements.
* Quickly adapts to changing requirements while communicating impacts and negotiating next steps.
* Ability to exercise good judgment to determine appropriate job action.

* Expected to continually improve knowledge of technology and products, striving to acquire advanced knowledge and skills.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as TAC, engineering, test, product marketing and other documentation teams to produce accurate, high quality documentation for our customers.

Who You Are

* Proficiency in networking technology and a thorough understanding of technical writing and project management.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge and application of style guides and industry practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Well-versed with Agile and Waterfall methods of product documentation.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet frequent deadlines.
* A self-starter possessing excellent research skills and enjoys working hands on with the product.
* Ability to learn new product, technology, and tools quickly.
* Knowledge of using XML-based authoring tools (preferably XMetal or Oxygen)
* Knowledge of DITA and working knowledge of content management systems.
* Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker
* CCNA certification will be an added advantage.
