Position Description

Develops and designs the framework for Talent Development's e-module catalogue by:

  • Collaborating with internal teams (for example, Talent Development, Global Back Office Solutions) to determine site designs

  • Serving as the subject matter expert regarding module programming

  • Analyzing designs (for example, front end, back end) to determine functionality for existing platforms

  • Designing the look and feel of the e-modules

  • Writing code and assisting with production

  • Identifying trends in customer and business expectations

  • Providing recommendations on development solutions to ensure customer expectations are met and business functionality is achieved

  • Researching and staying up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and technologies

  • Applying industry best practices to current processes and identifying alternative solutions to ensure full functionality and enhance the user experience.

    Develops code for Talent Development e-modules by:

  • Reviewing module requirements from the business

  • Translating requirements into technical solutions

  • Gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames)

  • Writing and developing code

  • Conducting unit testing

  • Communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders

  • Engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of technical issues and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues.

    Researches, recommends, and implements technology-enabled learning solutions by:

  • Identifying, diagnosing, and responding to technology based training needs, issues, problems, and opportunities

  • Comparing the features of various technology products and evaluating them against organizational needs staying up to date on technological developments and applications

  • Identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

  • Staying up to date on the availability of automated systems and identifying web-based training mechanisms to the end user to adapt to changes in technology in the course material.

    Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices

  • Supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

    Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by:

  • Building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders

  • Identifying business needs

  • Determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices

  • Monitoring progress and results recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

    Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by:

  • Incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans

  • Using the Open Door Policy and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years’ experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years OR 4 years’ experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

3 years’ experience building or implementing multiple types of infrastructure technologies (for example, routers, switches, servers).
1 year troubleshooting experience in an infrastructure technology.
