What You'll Do

As a QA test engineer, you're tasked with test planning, and test case execution to improve the overall quality of our products. You’ll be working with various leads in HXDP feature projects, test plan reviews. Design and implement test case automation and test library to support various functional teams. Maintain and triaging automated test execution environment like Jenkins. File defects and feature enhancements, tracking them to closure.

Who You'll Work With
Be part of the fastest growing HyperConverged Infrastructure, HyperFlex product line. You’ll be part of dynamic software QA team responsible for the core functional test team. You must have experience develop and maintaining test plan and test cases. The ability to work well with automation project leads, code reviews. Engage with users to discover major problem areas. Work with development team to analyze and root cause failures.


Who You Are
You must have 3+yrs of experience testing a 'systems' product (file systems, storage systems, operating systems, or networking). The ability to lead both manual and automated test efforts, test plan and code reviews. Able to mentor and give guidance to junior level team members.

Candidate needs to have:

  • Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Xen.
  • Experience in testing clustered/distributed systems.
  • Ability to leverage open source tools for test development and execution
  • Experiences in developing test case automation and/or test libraries in one or more of following programming/scripting languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java
  • The ability to debug and extend automated tests
  • An understanding of file system concepts
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Experience of working in on NAS / SAN and storage protocols like CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FC.
  • Good understanding of storage concepts: RAID, Snapshots(Checkpoints), Clones, Clustering, High Availability(HA), Data Protection and Replication, Backup and Disaster Recovery.
  • Good to have – Experience of testing Deduplication and Compression
  • Experience with integrating automation test frameworks such as Jenkins
  • Experience in test plan design and test case development for complex software projects
  • Experience of working with Linux and/or Windows environments
