Job Description

Arbour-Fuller Hospital is licensed,private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Mass.Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. There are also partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. The Therapeutic Mentor provides direct family therapy services to patients and their families as clinically indicated under the direction of the In-home Therapist. Services provided to patients and patient families include behavioral interventions, mentoring, and skills building, as outlined in the patients treatment plan.  These services are provided in the patient’s home and/or residential site.  Therapeutic Mentor monitors behavioral goals and objectives and provides feedback to the In-home Therapist and treatment team::

 

Job Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelors Degree in Allied Health field preferred, experience of at least 2 years in direct care setting in lieu of degree may be considered.

 

Experience:

Outpatient or home based social work experience preferred.

Must be proficient with written and verbal communication skills.  Must have knowledge of community-based and state agencies with regard to behavioral health services.

Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to interact compassionately and appropriately with patients and their families on a regular basis.

Professional demeanor and appearance, as well as the ability to deal tactfully with sensitive situations and maintain patient confidentiality.  Must be able to interact effectively with other hospital departments to achieve desired outcome for the patient.
