POSITION SUMMARY

The Inpatient Therapist is responsible for providing acute focused individual, family, and group therapy for assigned patients, according to their individual needs. The Inpatient Therapist completes individual psychosocial assessments and assigns treatment objectives and goals accordingly. The Inpatient Therapist provides family therapy to all child and adolescent assigned patients, and family or couples therapy to adult patients as needed. The Inpatient Therapist represents each assigned patient during twice weekly treatment team meetings and works closely with the psychiatrist to assess progress and discharge plans. The Inpatient Therapist works closely with the discharge planner from the time of intake to plan for an appropriate discharge plan.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:  Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience:  Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family, individual and group therapies, case management, crisis intervention, and treatment skills, preferred. 

License:  State licensed in social work or clinical related mental health field (LCSW), preferred.

Additional Requirements:   Required to work flexible hours and weekends.
