Position Summary:

Two Rivers Behavioral Health, a 105-bed acute facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in the Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For over 30 years the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals in need. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for our Partial Hospital Program (PHP) Therapist position. The PHP Therapist provides clinical services on a designated physician led treatment team in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two Rivers Hospital. The PHP Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, treatment team planning, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the facility. Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including adolescents, adults, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

 

Education:  Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field required.

Experience: Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population.
 
Licensure/Certification:  LCSW or LPC with Missouri License required.
 
Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
 
Supervision Received: Director of Outpatient Services
 
Supervision Exercised: None
