Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare of MS, a 107-bed acute psychiatric care facility. The Social Worker/Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. These services include but are not limited to the following: individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, attending/conducting unit and hospital meeting, discharge/care planning and follow-up, resource development/assistance, and serving as a member on various committees. The Social Worker/ Therapist further contribute to Social Services and the unit on which he/she works through support of philosophy and objectives, educational efforts and Quality Management efforts. This job description is consistent with the standards of practice for Social Work and the American Counseling Association.

Education: Must have Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university and must have a Mississippi LMSW, LCSW, LPC license or must be license eligible.
