Description

The Instructional Designer for software technology will play an integral part in the Instructional Design Team. They will apply their knowledge of technology, vAuto Applications, educational methods and instructional design techniques to assist the Instructional Design Manager in analyzing learning issues, designing and delivering: in classroom instruction, eLearning courses, online training, blended and at times on-site training, to both employees and customers. This is a hybrid position that encompasses areas of, Instructional Design, Master Trainer, and Subject Matter Expert.


They will collaborate with Instructional Designers, Training Managers, Training Specialists, Support Staff and the Performance Management Team in needs assessment, and the development of learning solutions, at times delivering high quality learning experiences in the area of application content.


Responsibilities:

  • Determine solutions to meet operational learning needs
  • Design or adapt the software instruction to be delivered
  • Deliver new-hire training courses, serving as the Master Trainer for and learning advisor to new-hires in the area of product knowledge
  • Maintain and co-ordinate all new-hire class schedules
  • Drive improvement in product-knowledge, class delivery and new-hire learning
  • Validate new-hire progress; hold them accountable for their learning
  • Validate new product/enhancement knowledge for the performance team
  • Deliver training sessions to both employees and customers as needed
  • Leverage technology or social media where appropriate
  • Update all training materials as needed 


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 2 Years’ Experience in training or teaching as a component of position 
    • Automotive Dealership Experience
    • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Force – or similar CRM
    • eLearning Software knowledge
    • Educational Coursework
    • Instructional Design Coursework 
    • Excellent implementation skills with a strong bias toward “hands-on learning”
