The Training Supervisor is a leader of trainers who facilitate our learning programs and who is a support partner for our business leaders.  The Training Supervisor develops people and enables processes to produce and effectively deliver learning solutions. This leader will work with internal Learning Solutions teams to coordinate and oversee Trainers assigned to various internal initiatives.   In this role, you will develop a team of trainers and support business initiatives.  You will be responsible for communication,  internal or external,  of delivery specific results for your assigned area and identifying and mitigating potential risks to class performance pre and post transition to operations. This leader challenges the team promoting innovation, creativity and leadership.


As a Leader of this team, you will oversee Trainers facilitating instructor led, virtual, and blended learning to a variety of audiences including new and tenured employees and leadership.   In addition, you will consult with our with our business partners to provide an effective learning solutions. As a Training Supervisor, you will be responsible to ensure Trainers keep skills alive through looping to maintain subject matter expertise for multiple skills delivered within the business while performing at or above tenured goals. 


 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Trainer's facilitation of classroom, virtual, and blended learning to varied audiences within multiple skill sets
  • Promotes engagement within teams, across teams and for individuals
  • Analyzes, addresses and communicates performance metrics during and post class at the individual, class, and national level, using data to drive program improvement for our constituents
  • Participates in scheduling and monitoring Looping completion at a local and national level in conjunction with Resource Management
  • Builds strategic partnerships with others in Learning Solutions and with business partners, vendors and/or global partners
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the business environment and business requirements (e.g., strategy changes, emerging business needs)
  • Collaborate with internal/external business partners using a consultative approach to identify business goals and performance gaps (e.g., leadership, Human Capital, external customers, Vital Signs)
  • Identify non-training solutions to address business needs/performance gaps, where appropriate (e.g., organization design, leadership development, change management, team dynamics)
  • Evaluate learner readiness to tailor planning of training solutions Translate business needs into training/development needs
  • Identify/select appropriate training methodologies and communicate to stakeholders (e.g., leadership, training staff, business partners), in order to drive adoption
  • Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team and national team
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Process decisions are most likely to impact multiple groups of employees and/or customers (internal or external)
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.  Works with less structured, more complex issues
