**ROLE SUMMARY:**







The Franklin Training Systems Specialist is accountable for the design, development, scheduling, and delivery of training solutions for all levels of personnel within the site's main functional areas; Operations, Site Services, and Quality. The Franklin Training Systems Specialist interacts with site's subject matter experts (SMEs), and under the guidance of the site's Operational Excellence Leader, to design and deliver effective training solutions that comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS-Q1228), Environmental, Safety and external regulatory agency requirements.







The role requires strong organizational, communication and people skills, knowledge of equipment & API operations fundamentals, understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and standard work concepts. Competence in computers systems with the ability to learn new applications is also necessary. Role also may be responsible for development of e-learning programs.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







The Franklin Training Systems Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:







+ Redesigning, developing, maintaining, and assigning curricula for site functional roles and personnel by partnering with site's leadership.







+ Scheduling and delivering training, for both Pfizer colleagues and contracted service providers.







+ Developing, authoring, and maintain training documents and materials (e.g. SOPs, User Guides, On Job Training (OJT) Checklists and Job Aids by partnering with site leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs).







+ Identifying and working with site's SMEs and site leadership appointed task owners to support the OJT needs of the site.







+ Proficient understanding and use of basic functions within an electronic learning management system in order to support the management of cGMP training documents and learning plans for colleagues and contractors across the site in a timely, compliant and consistent manner.







+ Preparing regular reports from Pfizer's Learning Solution (PLS) and other electronic systems to identify training needs and progress with the site, and for working with site leadership to develop action plans to close training gaps.







+ Entering data into PLS and other electronic systems to ensure training documentation is accurate, complete, and timely.







+ Posting, maintaining, tracking and reconciliation of working copy SOPs, Job Aids, and other posted documents required on the shop floor.







+ Assists the site's functional areas with managing their SOPs for compliance (requires updating SOPs by following the applicable change control procedures and the QTS system).







+ Proficient understanding of continuous improvement principles in order to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.







+ Assists Operational Excellence Lead developing, facilitating, strategy deployment, Lean Tools and 6 Sigma Tool (DMAIC) thru the functional areas at the site.







+ Assists Operational Excellence Lead creating, developing, maintaining and presenting performance metrics and visual management board for the functional areas and strategy implementation.







**QUALIFICATIONS**







**Education & Experience:** Bachelor's degree in a science related major or high school degree (or GED equivalent) with comparable experience in GMP/pharmaceutical environment. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of production processes & equipment and automation systems. Knowledge of Lean tools and 6 six sigma tools, preferred.







**Technical Skills Requirements:** Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. Experience with digital photographic/video equipment and editing software for the development and delivery of effective classroom and computer based training solutions preferred. Strong facilitation, organizational skills, knowledge of applicable SOP's and GMP's preferred. Must have the ability to handle pressure of changing priorities and deadlines. High proficiency in use of the site learning management system (e.g. PLS) and the Quality Tracking System (QTS) preferred. Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are required. Subject matter expertise in manufacturing concepts is preferred. Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities. Must demonstrate commitment to value based leadership and achieving objectives in a manner that is supportive of Pfizer Core Competencies. Familiarity, knowledge and experience implementation and deployment Lean tools (Standard Work, 5S, Operator Care, TPM, etc) and DMAIC & Six Sigma Tools. Experience working with Reliability tools, preferred. Familiarity, knowledge and experience working with safety (OSHA) and environmental regulations, preferred. Experience with Human error reduction methodologies, preferred.







**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**







**Physical Position Requirements:** Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, potential exposure to excipients, API's and other materials used in shop floors.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**







Flexible work hours in discrete time windows (e.g. coming to work early) to accommodate operating needs may be required from time to time. Travel may be required but infrequent.







**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**



**Internal stakeholders** (within site): Site's subject matter experts (SMEs) in different disciplines and site's Operational Excellence Leader in the design and delivery of effective training solutions for all functions and levels of the site; Production/Maintenance & QA/QC Shop Floor Colleagues; Operations & Maintenance Supervisors; Quality professionals and Production & Engineering professionals; contractors servicing the site; site management stakeholders at all levels (supervision, managers, site leadership team).



**External stakeholders** (outside site): Various network technical, compliance, and operational support functions external to the site. Some contact with outside organizations, vendors & contractors, and customers is required, depending on the scope of project/initiative.
