Position Title: Transition Manager

Job Location: Pennsylvania-Scranton
The Transition Manager is within Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) Defined Benefit (DB) Operations based in Scranton, PA. Primary responsibilities include on-boarding PRT New business. This will include:
  • Presenting and managing the on-boarding timeline with our external partners (client, advisors, prior record-keepers, and actuaries) and internal partners (New Business, Marketing, Contracts, Pricing, PSC, PRU, Tax, etc.) to achieve a flawless transition on PRT Cash, Mid-Market, Jumbo, and Longevity sales
  • Logging, tracking, and following open issues to resolution including confirming task owner and establishing target dates
  • Partnering with Data Specialists on data needs and provision clarification for Technical specialists. Communicating the needs to the client / broker for a successful on-boarding data load effort and creation of claims summary
  • Obtaining CAR forms, W-9 forms, completing Schedule As, and other miscellaneous requirements from clients during the transition
  • Support the true- up of contract premiums as necessary
  • Transmit Contract and follow for client approval and Prudential counter signature
  • Communicate with internal business partners as necessary to support on-going servicing and in advance of annuitant mailings
  • Reporting on transition status to management team
  • Process Improvements related to communications and other new business processes
  • Organizes communication functions (Marketing / Data / Tech Specialist) to ensure there are sufficient supplies and to identify any requirements for customization. Coordinate customization needs with appropriate parties and work with print vendors to ensure readiness
  • Ensures a smooth handoff to ongoing teams upon completed transition

  • BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 Years of Experience with Retirement Products and/or relevant Project Management experience
  • Strong ability to lead and influence others
  • Strong communication skills / comfortable interacting with clients at various levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Discretion to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects and deliverables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment
