Two Rivers Behavioral Health, a 105-bed acute facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in the Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For over 30 years, the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals in need.

We currently have a FULL-TIME position available for a SOCIAL WORK CLINICIAN to work with our inpatient populations.

The Trauma Services Clinician is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, treatment team planning, discharge planning/case management service, utilization review, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.



Education: Master’s degree in Socal Work, Counseling, Psychology or related filed is required.

Experience:   Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting with a trauma population. Prior experience with evidence-based trauma-focused interventions.

Licensure/Certification: Missour i licensure required. Licensure supervision provided for LMSWs and PLPCs.
Knowledge:  Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice, and trauma-informed therapies (especially CBT, DBT, EMDR, MI, SFBT, PE, Expressive Therapies and Neurofeedback).
