Treatment Liaison/Assessor (Title 25) – Wyoming Behavioral Institute, Casper, Wyoming

 

Wyoming Behavioral Institute, a UHS Facility, is seeking a dynamic and talented Treatment Liaison Assessor

 

The Treatment Liaison/Assessor works on behalf of Wyoming Behavioral Institute and with the Wyoming Title 25 Independent Examiner/Gatekeeper and the WBI physicians, treatment team and patients who are involuntarily detained under state law. This position provides logistics support and facilitates completion of risk assessments and documentation to enable treatment recommendations, court coordination, and positive treatment outcomes. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing clinical risk assessments of clients who have been involuntarily detained under Title 25.
  • Facilitate meetings to gather pertinent clinical, psychosocial and risk history from the client, the client’s chart documentation, and the client's support person/s, their providers and the psychiatric attending.
  • Communicate with and support the clinical teams regarding the involuntary client with court decisions and directives, changes of legal status, identified discharge planning needs, and as appropriate for the client.
  • Communicate with various County Attorney's Offices as needed and provide the required documentation to include demographics, clinical risk assessments, and other information regarding involuntary detained clients as needed.
  • Provide coordination, scheduling, logistics and administrative support to outside assessment entities, county healthcare providers, and other stakeholders throughout the detention and hospitalization process.
  • Attendance in Clinical staffings to assist with care coordination for the Title 25 clients to include an appropriate referral coordination, collaboration with other community partners and treatment providers, and engagement in discharge planning.
  • Maintain clinical documentation, data collection and submission documentation to appropriate and authorized entities.

Education and Experience:

  • Licensed as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT
  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or other behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university required
  • 2 years’ experience in the Behavioral Health or Case Management Field required
  • Experience in coordinating behavioral health intervention plans and services with other agencies

  • Demonstrates an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient with standard office equipment
  • Accept and actively participate in clinical supervision
  • Effectively partner with WBI clinical team members, support staff, the patient and family, the County Attorney's Office, Court Commissioner's clients counsel and the community as appropriate
