Reporting to the Regional Insights - U.S. Wellness Director, the U.S. Lip Care Insights Manager collaborates closely with colleagues in the Health and Wellness platforms to support strategic and tactical business activities for the U.S. Lip Care business - primarily the iconic Chapstick brand. S/he will be the primary Insights point of contact for one or more areas of the business, and will develop a deep understanding of consumer insights in the assigned area. The Manager will participate as a partner to the Lip Care commercial team, leveraging the understanding of the consumer to inform business decisions. S/he will utilize a variety of traditional and non-traditional research methods, synthesize learnings to enable the organization to take action based on Insights, and deliver growth targets to the organization. In addition, opportunities to manage insights projects for other U.S. brands/businesses may exist.


+ The U.S. Lip Care Insights Manager is a key partner to the U.S. Lip Care commercial team

+ Synthesize a diverse body of primary and secondary research in order to develop a deep understanding of consumer needs for the U.S. Lip Care business to guide decisions

+ Working with the Regional Insights - U.S. Wellness Director, develops the Insights agenda together with the commercial teams by identifying strategic and tactical questions on existing business, commercialization of innovation opportunities and required research

+ Conduct custom/primary and secondary research that aligns to Insights agenda/plan

+ Manage the ongoing research agenda for specific business initiatives within the brand's business area

+ Is a strong proactive "thought partner" for cross-functional teams

+ Closely follows latest consumer trends; identifies current and future consumer needs and gaps in the marketplace

Collaborate with other GOCE (Global Operations & Commercial Excellence) teams, Insights colleagues, Regional teams to share learnings with applicability to other areas of the business.


+ 5+ years of experience in managing and executing custom research, preferably with a CPG/OTC manufacturer or market research supplier

+ Quantitative and Qualitative, Primary and Secondary research skills, familiar with 3rd party data sets (IRI/Nielsen, Euromonitor etc.)

+ Experience with a variety of custom research methodologies

+ Translates ndings to actionable insights and drives results through inuence

+ Ability to distill consumer, customer, and competitive insights to inform growth strategy

+ Ability to communicate with clarity and impact

+ Highly collaborative, comfortable working across functions, ability to manage external vendor relationships, multiple priorities and projects with multiple internal stakeholders

+ Healthcare or Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) experience desirable

+ Procient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

+ Bachelor's Degree required
