**ROLE SUMMARY**



The US Vaccines Inside Sales Lead (VISL) will lead a team of two (2) Inside Sales District Managers and twenty (20) Inside Sales Representatives and will also have oversight of an external team of twenty-five (25) Contract Inside Sales Representatives (CISRs). The primary role of the VISL is to lead and continue to develop the Inside Sales organization as a strategic lever to support US Vaccines in meeting and exceeding business goals/objectives. The VISL will also collaborate on a routine basis with the broader Sales and Accounts organization, Marketing, Operations, and BAI to evaluate insights, strategic approaches, and process improvements to further enhance Inside Sales effectiveness and ensure efficient and aligned execution.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Work with SSE Lead to set team vision and provide sales leadership and direction that ensures strategic execution of promotion and achievement of targeted performance within assigned accounts.



+ Lead the development and implementation of short and longer-term Inside Sales strategy to ensure the most efficient use of resources to drive uptake of the current and future Vaccines portfolio



+ Foster a positive team environment that instills OWNIT and Vaccines cultural values and ensure strong colleague engagement and accountability.



+ Work with SSE Lead to establish governance process to assess new opportunities and optimize portfolio deployment of Inside Sales team.



+ Identify and lead execution of short-term/seasonal opportunities for adjustments to Inside Sales focus.



+ Regularly assess and report on performance against established goals throughout the year, ensure successes and opportunities are shared and action plans developed.



+ Lead team with a change-agile mindset to continually capitalize on evolving opportunities as they arise across the franchise.



+ Collaborate with SSE Lead and cross-functional partners to develop/adapt strategic approaches to Inside Sales deployment and execution (i.e., salesforce size and structure, deployment options, segmentation implementation, reports and analytics requirements, incentive plan requirements and field sales tools requirements that support strategic programs).



+ Viewed as an expert in Inside Sales strategy by: collaborating with StratCo to develop ROI analysis, developing best practices from both internal and external sources, and identifying the "real-world" challenges and opportunities that impact Inside Sales effectiveness



+ Responsible for supervising operations of the team, including hiring, developing and retaining outstanding representatives.



+ Own and manage relationship with Contract Inside Sales Provider by managing contracting process, communicating expectations and ensure appropriate management controls are in place to monitor and evaluate effectiveness.



+ Coach / Mentor team in coordination with ISR DMs to ensure appropriate expectation and selling direction are provided to both ISR and CISRs teams to enhance planning, execution and personal development



+ Have complete understanding of all relevant compliance laws, policies, product knowledge, and processes. Ensures actions of self and team are fully compliant.



+ Works with SSE Lead to effectively plan and execute Plan of Action meetings, training and development plans for Inside Sales teams.







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.



+ Min 8 years of pharmaceutical commercial pharmaceutical experience required, with min of 3 years in sales/marketing functions



+ Strong business acumen relating to Sales and Marketing processes required.



+ Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success leading teams required. Previous experience in sales management preferred.



+ Knowledge of the vaccines business preferred.



+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment; ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders; influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities a must.



+ Demonstrated initiative and proven ability to work collaboratively to identify opportunities and trends, assess business hypotheses, and recommend courses of action required.



+ Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable execution and measurement plans required.



+ Demonstrated ability to establish strong trusted relationships with sales and brand leadership required.



+ Strong organization and verbal/written communication skills required.
