Located just two miles from I-75 and bridging Manatee and Sarasota counties, this new, 120-bed acute care hospital has an extensive system of fully-integrated inpatient and outpatient services that share a single purpose—to provide compassionate, quality patient care. Patients have access to a medical staff of over 400 physicians and allied health professionals with a comprehensive range of specialties that use technological advances in medicine. Position Summary: The Central Monitor Tech is responsible for identifying cardiac rhythms and notifying the nurse of changes in rhythm. The central monitor tech will be responsible for watching a total of 41 rhythm channels in a central area. As directed, assumes responsibility for facilitating nursing unit operations under the direction of the RN. These duties include clerical and specific patient care activities. Job Requirements

High school education or GED equivalent.  Completion of an approved nursing assistant or unit secretary course; or currently attending an approved Nursing program (RN, LPN).  Previous experience as Unit Secretary preferred,  Rhythm Identification Course within 90 days of hire. Strip Identification Test within 30 days of hire;BLS at hire. Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
