Job Summary:

Ready Logistics is looking for a high potential and energetic UI Designer to join our growing team, dedicated to our industry-leading auto transportation solutions. This position requires someone who enjoys working both independently and within a team environment.  They should be passionate about learning and taking ownership to grow their role within the team. 

The UI Designer will provide technical support to development teams that are engaged in developing web applications.  Responsibilities will include developing a consistent and effective design pattern for our web applications, ensuring cross browser compatibility, and excellent user experience.  The UI designer should also bring an expertise in the field, and advocate for best practices.  This position will be part of a highly collaborative and agile team that is highly motivated with strong team players. 

The UI Designer reports directly to the Software Development Manager and will work closely with the other .NET Developers to deliver solutions of high quality. As a member of the software development team, they will develop software in the transportation industry working with many of the latest technologies including C#, .Net 4.6, REST APIs, Visual Studio 2015, SQL Server, AngularJS,  AJAX, and MVVM to create custom applications.  We are committed to a quality Enterprise Architecture, including Cloud computing, Service Bus, Micro services, and Dev Ops.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience

·         Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering

·         Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks

·         Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

·         Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

·         Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Required Qualifications:

·         Expertise with wire frames and mock ups

·         Expertise with CSS and HTML

·         Expertise in Visual Studio 2012 - 2015

·         Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.

·         Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, especially in representing their technical expertise to a diverse audience

·         Self-motivated; works well both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

·         3+ years of software development

·         Proven UI experience

·         Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio

·         Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps

·         Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools

·         Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.

·         Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

·         Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.

·         Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

·         Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

·         BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

·         Familiarity with AngularJS, SPA, AJAX, MVVM, design patterns, and modern architectural trends

·         Knowledge of the Agile Scrum methodology and the various aspects such as Sprints, Stories, Tasks, Impediments, etc.
