Cedar Hills Hospital - located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland - is an 89-bed, free-standing psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

The Unit Lead Therapist acts in a leadership role for a specific unit by taking responsibility for organizing the unit clinical team and assigning cases, providing oversight on the team's completion of required documentation, treatment team meetings, commitment and Hold processes along with ensuring community contacts are being completed in a timely and professional manner. The Unit Lead Therapist reports to the Social Services Manager and Director of Clinical Services.

Job Requirements

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred.

Experience: Three years experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: Must possess a state license within two years of employment.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification, Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 60 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.

May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
