West Hills Hospital is a 95-bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Reno, Nevada, specializing in behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.  Our facility maintains a full-time medical staff of psychiatrists to oversee programs, patients and care.  This ensures you or your loved one will always be in the hands of a professional medical service provider and will receive the most evidence based care available.  West Hills Hospital is JCAHO accredited and is the only facility licensed in northern Nevada to treat children and adolescents.

Job Description: The Patient Care Coordinator provides admission and continued stay reviews in conjunction with utilization practices and discharge planning.  Serves as a liaison between the multi-disciplinary team and the reimbursement agents to assure medical necessity for treatment and appropriateness of resources utilized.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in a mental health related facility.  Minimum three (3) years experience as a LPN or Registered Nurse.  Utilization Review experience preferred.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN in the state of Nevada.

Additional Requirements: Handle with Care and CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
