Primary Responsibilities:
  • Hire and manage clinical UM operations team, which includes medical and behavioral health professionals
  • Set team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to members of the team to ensure they meet the established performance metrics and goals
  • Take a lead role in developing and participating in new program initiatives and innovations
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Serve as a coach, mentor and advocate for staff in their development and training
  • Adhere to ethical, legal / regulatory and accreditation standards to meet business goals and objectives
  • Create an environment that supports change and models accountability for staff
  • Track and report performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Conduct team meetings, auditing, and implement performance improvement plans
  • Understand and use data to manage the team as well as individual performance
  • Participate in meetings with state customer, providers, and other stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher with a concentration in social work, psychology or other mental/social health discipline with current state licensure as an independently licensed clinician  in good standing  OR  RN with current state licensure in good standing, with Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 3+ years behavioral health experience
  • Must be eligible for RN or independent behavioral health clinical licensure in the state of Wyoming
  • Previous UM experience, including experience using national clinical guidelines (e.g., MCG, ASAM, etc.) and the ability to differentially diagnose
  • Previous leadership experience with direct reports, with the ability to partner with staff to build high - performing teams
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to include the ability to create documents and spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Medicaid managed care programs and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast - paced, ever - changing office environment and handle change well
  • Experience in integrated healthcare
  • Excellent organization, communication, teambuilding, and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
