We are currently seeking a Per Diem (part-time)Utilization Review Specialist. The Utilization Review (UR) Specialist is responsible for the facilitation of clinically pertinent reviews on patient admissions for continued stay reviews including completion of certifications. The UR Specialist will interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers and other payors to ensure that the admission, continued stay, and discharge plan is in compliance with JCAHO, HCFA, and established utilization management policies and procedures. On-going Discharge planning documentation will be audited by the UM /Discharge planning staff with follow-up/coordination with the appropriate disciplines. Additional duties may include Medicare chart audits and other items as requested by the Utilization Review Manager.
