What You'll Do:
The User Experience Architect is responsible for guiding the research, planning, definition, iteration and implementation of the Cisco information architecture and user experience. The User Experience Architect needs to balance user needs and business objectives (from multiple functions) to enable efficient task flow and present a holistic picture of Cisco to multiple audiences  across 89 countries, in 41 languages, and on any device.
  
In this role, you will work with marketing to define digital goals and key performance indicators and facilitate stakeholder working sessions to maintain alignment. You will define and present the UX vision by leveraging user-centered design techniques such as personas, scenarios, storyboards, experience maps, conceptual models, user flows, and prototypes. You should be very comfortable presenting your concepts to executives and team members. You will specify the structure of the experience, by delivering hierarchy, wireframes, UI requirements, logical flows, and other relevant documents to clearly communicate with product management and development.

We will look to you to define information architecture guidelines and patterns, communicating them through the integrated design system. You will also analyze and apply user research and occasionally plan and execute research plans on your own.

You will help us eliminate silos to ensure Cisco is presenting the most holistic experience to prospects, customers, and partners. 

Who You'll Work With:
You will work with Cisco's Digital Marketing organization which will lead the next evolution in customer experience through promotion of Cisco products and software through digital channels (web, social, media, mobile, direct mail, point of sale, etc..). 

Who You Are:
You are enthusiastic about technology and how it can change business processes and the world. You have Bachelor's degree and have gained some professional UX experience. Or you may have recently completed your Master's degree in UX or HCI and you are seeking an opportunity to apply your knowledge.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- BS Degree with 3-4 years as an information/UX architect for a large global brand 
- MS Degree with 1-2 years of professional experience
- Experience with organizing systems, labeling systems, navigation systems, site search, search engine optimization, controlled vocabularies and metadata for large websites.
- End-to-end, cross-channel approach to UX architecture.
- Deep understanding and practice of the User Centered Design methodology
- Experience and proven deliverables using IA communication tools such as Axure, Omnigraffle/Visio, and Powerpoint.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in concept work and execution.  

Our preferred requirement for this role are:
- Ability to give actionable critique and feedback on designs, and to coach designers with less experience.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, commerce platforms, and content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager)
- Knowledge of trends affecting digital interactive product design, mobile/responsive web design, and content strategy.
- Ability to lead cross functionally and to manage multiple projects in a complex business environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
