The Business Entity

The CTG organization is responsible for driving the company's efforts around end-to-end video and multi-channel collaboration, energy and home networking. Within CTG, it is the Customer Care Business Unit's, (CCBU's) mission is to create world class, innovative customer communication and collaboration solutions that redefine the customer experience anytime, anywhere, across any media. CCBU is looking for an enthusiastic UX Designer to join our talented design and implementation team.
The Team
You will be joining our UX Team who are a group of dedicated engineers whose primary mission is to create pleasurable experiences for our end users.
Role and Responsibilities
You are a highly motivated, detail-oriented, energetic individual with excellent written and oral skills who will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced UX Team responsible for driving great experiences into our products. As a UX Designer, you will:
* Understand user needs to define interaction models and workflows
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and be willing to explore all options.
* Participate in design team activities of Requirement Analysis, Ideation and other processes
* Design mock-ups including wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes
* Communicate design intent to both internal and external teams with clear rationale and design
* justifications.
* Develop user interface specifications and guidelines
* Innovate compelling new experiences that make collaborative work fun and productive
* Work with user researchers to design, observe, and analyze field studies
* Generate user personas and scenarios to document user needs and behavior
* Conduct heuristic evaluations on existing products
* Create and communicate conceptual designs to drive product direction
* Define the user interaction model and work flows for key tasks
Required Qualifications
* BS/BA/Masters in design, HCI, Human Factors, Industrial Design or related degree in Computer Science with a HCI specialty or equivalent practical experience.
* Practical experience in UX roles (either through on-the-job or project assignment experience).
* Must have a strong foundation of User Centered Design process complemented by skills in wire-framing, prototyping and communication tools
Essential Skills Required
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to assist partners with implementing defined user experience
* Confidence working both independently and as part of a small team.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with Partners on an ongoing basis to communicate Cisco UX standards
* Knowledge of UX design tools (Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Indigo Studio, etc… Wire framing tools)
* Experience with performing remote and in person usability research
* Experience with performing heuristic evaluation and expert reviews
* Ability to multitask and prioritize, while effectively managing time
* Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working within small fast-moving
* HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript prototyping experience not required but a plus!
