What You’ll Do
* Manage a team of UX Design Leads who are expert designers and are charged with having a vision for the areas they lead. 
* Assist your UX Leads in sizing work across releases and sprints to ensure the commitments made by our team match with the resources at hand – purposefully looking to avoid team burnout and a total loss of work/life balance. 
* Define, evangelize, operationalize UX process from documentation structure, version control, publishing, interaction specifications, and quality across all the teams in our organization. 
* Evaluate the effectiveness of the UX process over time and optimize the documentation and delivery of our artifacts to ensure the best cross-functional collaboration possible. 
* Lead the experience strategy for your area of responsibility by partnering with product owners, architects and development managers to deliver product strategies/solutions.

* Partner with our User Research staff to ensure we are using user research to inform experience decision making in the most efficient manner possible.
* Execute within our Agile/Continuous delivery model.

* Build a team of superheroes that have complementary but different skills that can step forward and lead when the
time is right. Create confidence, camaraderie, and career growth for the UX team.

* Mentor and provide guidance to members of your team.

* Be a good partner.

* Have a vision and ensure purpose.

* Evangelize good design practices, principles, and patterns. Contribute to a Cisco wide design practice.

* Be intentional, purposeful, bold, and humble.



Who You Are

* Great leadership skills (people, strategy and execution).

* Ability to effectively communicate concepts with passion and integrity. Excellent communication skills.

* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years managing people.

* Experienced in design in a multi-site global product development and delivery.

* Solid design history backed by delivery and execution.

* Managed and mentored a team of 6 or more.

* Results outshine a pedigree. Degree in design related field preferred. Bonus points if you
graduated from a design school (e.g. CMU, SCAD, RISD).
