We are currently seeking a sales professional to enhance our sales desk as the Vice President, Internal Sales.
As Head of Internal Sales, you will have responsibility for the overall leadership, management and future success of the internal sales organization.  This organization is responsible for prospecting and selling as wells as providing sales support within all channels of distribution. The Internal Sales organization has staff residing in both Shelton, CT and Fort Washington, PA. With an innovative mindset, you will develop and implement new strategies and tactics, define operational procedures and policies, and will collaborate across the organization in order to achieve sales success. 
  • Lead all Internal Sales Desk strategies, initiatives and projects
  • Lead the coaching, development and training of internal sales associates and leadership team which includes 2-3 direct reports and 125-150 indirect reports
  • Propose and/or implement strategies in collaboration with the National Sales Managers and other Executive leaders
  • Represent and lead sales on various project committees and organizational programs
  • Review and ensure the consistency and timely execution of sales and marketing messages
  • Effectively anticipate, plan and maintain appropriate staff levels to meet the sales need of the Company
  • Partner with Prudential Annuities Center for Professional Excellence on the development, design and planning of programs, in order to meet the training needs of the Internal Sales organization.
  • Present channel activity metrics to executive management
  • Lead implementation of best practice sales techniques, including CRM, to enhances sales effectiveness
  • Monitor and enhance the quality and efficiency of sales support and review sales and activity related reporting.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in sales and management with a track record of roles of increasing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute a business plan
  • Demonstrated leadership characteristics including building effective teamwork and team cohesion, building relationships, and influencing performance
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and products a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of successful sales and management skills
  • Excellent coaching, development and training skills
  • Proven and confident presentation skills and presence
  • In-depth business acumen
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63, and 26 may be required within a specific time frame
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced education (MBA, CFP, etc) a plus
