This is a senior level leadership role reporting to the Customer Office Chief Marketing Officer requiring cross-functional expertise, and customer centric thinking to execute.  Successful candidate will have a proven track record of building organizations and delivering results.  The role extends beyond marketing to all aspects of thinking about needs of the mid-market/mass-affluent consumers, assessing end-to-end revenue and income drivers of the firm, and creating a suite of solutions and services that can create economic value both for the customer and firm.  To enable this, you will be partnering and collaborating across the firm at C levels.

In this role, you will be accountable for driving the development & execution of key customer growth strategies.  You will collaborate closely with business leadership across the company to identify opportunities within our key customer segment, develop the strategies and initiatives to capture that opportunity, and drive the cross-channel, cross-business execution with the responsibility for outcomes, budgets and KPIs.  You will drive penetration of Prudential’s products, learn from direct customer engagement with individuals through workplace and segment strategies, interactions retail customers, prospects. You'll be challenged to blend customer-centric principles with industry-changing innovation.  You will partner with business product management, marketing, and technology teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive engagement, while capturing the sizeable market opportunity.

This is a senior level role engaging with teams in multiple geographic sites, and entails careful business planning and resource scaling, economics based business thinking, and quick decision making.  You are an operator who will engage frequently with senior level executives across the company, negotiating with internal and external partners to drive start-up like business within a Fortune 100 company. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding, development and ownership of the end-to-end (from idea to results) marketing strategy for key populations considered growth segments.  Your goals will be to develop and optimize the relationship with our customers. 
  • Delivery of highly interactive, end-to-end customer experience including phone, paper and digital channels.
  • Deepen relationships with potential customers by providing easy digital products and features.
  • KPI accountability for the customer segment, including revenue and cost drivers, customer engagement metrics, budget management and refining strategic drivers based on outcomes.
  • Serving as a cultural ambassador for a fast-paced, technology-enabled, customer-centric financial services work environment.
  • Strategic communication, willingness to learn and intelligent risk taking.
  • Cross-functional team and talent management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Product Management or equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services preferably in the Wealth Management or Investment Strategy area.
  • P&L ownership a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful customer facing solutions execution.
  • Consumer financial services industry knowledge and empathy towards customer needs.
  • Excellent time management / organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and hands-on presentation creation and delivery skills.
  • Strong leadership skills in building, motivating, and operating a diverse team.
  • Ability to go deep into the details as warranted – both a planner and a “doer.”
