Description:

We are seeking a talented, business savvy and experienced lawyer to join a team within the Prudential Law Department dedicated to supporting digital, data analytics, and cross-business initiatives that are aimed at transforming the customer experience across Prudential’s U.S. businesses.

 

This position will provide counsel and advice to Prudential’s U.S. Customer Office in the development of new business opportunities and engagement models in the investment advisor space. 

 

The U.S. Customer Office combines a start-up culture with the strength of a 140 year old financial services company. To succeed, you will need to be able to operate in a fast-paced start-up environment, while also possessing the ability to successfully navigate the complexities of a large organization.  You can expect to practice in an environment that provides significant intellectual challenge and meaningful development opportunities.   

 

You will work closely and collaboratively with other U.S. Business and Corporate legal teams, and will need to partner with them to provide focused, technically sound and pragmatic legal support in connection with highly visible and strategically important work for Prudential. 

 

 


You need to have significant firm or in-house legal experience with the rules and regulations governing investment advisors and broker-dealers, as well as a strong understanding of the financial technology space.  You also need to be comfortable working in a wide variety of other legal disciplines, including insurance, privacy, intellectual property, marketing, and corporate law.  And you need to have a curiosity and desire to learn about technologies or legal areas that you aren’t familiar with and to understand the mission, goals, and objectives of Prudential’s various businesses.

You must have a JD degree, admission to a state bar, and will need to obtain a New Jersey In-House Counsel License.
