Description:

We are seeking a talented, business savvy and experienced lawyer to join Prudential’s Law Department. This position will provide counsel and advice to Prudential’s U.S. Customer Office and other businesses in the development of new business opportunities and engagement models in the retail investment advisor, insurance, and annuities spaces. 

 

You will work closely and collaboratively with other U.S. Business and Corporate legal teams, and will need to partner with them to provide focused, technically sound and pragmatic legal support relating to highly visible and strategically important work for Prudential.You need to have significant firm or in-house legal experience with the rules and regulations governing investment advisors and investment companies and a strong understanding of the financial technology space. Knowledge with the rules and regulations governing broker-dealers is preferable but not required.

 

You also need to be comfortable working in a wide variety of other legal disciplines, including insurance and annuities, privacy, intellectual property, marketing, and corporate law.  And you need to have a curiosity and desire to learn about technologies or legal areas that you aren’t familiar with and to understand the mission, goals, and objectives of Prudential’s various businesses. 


  • Minimum 5 years professional law experience
  • JD degree required
  • Admission to a state bar; will need to obtain a New Jersey In-House Counsel License
