Description: Prudential’s Workplace Solutions Group (WSG) Financial Wellness team is seeking a Vice President of Product Development to lead the development of financial wellness capabilities.

Prudential’s Workplace Solutions Group includes Prudential’s Retirement and Group Insurance businesses; the Group serves over 20 million individuals across a wide range of institutional clients. The mission of the WSG Financial Wellness team is to lead the development and delivery of capabilities and services that improve the financial wellness of individuals, strengthen the value proposition of and to the institutional businesses, and facilitate the development of deeper consumer relationships.

This leader will work collaboratively with Prudential’s Retirement business, Group Insurance business, the Customer Office, and other partners to define and deliver a market leading financial wellness capability roadmap.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain a 12-18 month roadmap for WSG’s financial wellness offering, including digital capabilities, in-person and remote financial education services, and other solutions designed to improve individuals’ financial wellness
  • Lead and/or guide the development of selected capabilities including concept definition, market testing, design, and development in conjunction with key partners
  • Partner with Prudential’s Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions to review and refine product concepts as needed
  • Lead and/or oversee operational readiness planning to bring new capabilities to market including ensuring service readiness, distribution enablement, and marketing support
  • Develop product offering guidelines including packaging and pricing frameworks
  • Prioritize high priority third-party solution partners for Prudential’s financial wellness offering.  Lead business development efforts with partners including due diligence, deal structure, and on-going partnership management
  • Represent Prudential’s financial wellness product vision to institutional clients, financial intermediaries, and/or industry conferences


  • 10 years overall business experience, with 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in the development of new businesses, products, or capabilities
  • Experience within the financial services industry preferred, particularly exposure to products/services that assist consumers in managing and improving their finances
  • Digital and/or software development experience preferred
  • Experience presenting to and/or working with institutional clients
  • Track record of initiating, negotiating, and building strong partnerships with third-party solution providers
  • Highly collaborative with strong partnering skills
  • Project management experience
  • Strong executive presentation skills - both oral and written
  • High integrity, enthusiasm, and energy
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
