The Vice President of Marketing will report into the Chief Operating Officer for PGIM Real Estate Finance (REF). The position will be focused on increasing external visibility through multiple channels and has an opportunity to contribute to the development of a marketing approach that aligns internal and external communication strategies.
The role is responsible for the creation, development, and execution of marketing programs that support the strategic direction of PGIM REF and are consistent with the priorities articulated in PGIM REF’s 2020 marketing and communications objectives as well as  its underlying business units. The individual will also work with internal partners and external vendors on a number of different marketing initiatives including digital communications, video production, advertising, media relations, event planning and market research. 
The following are the main responsibilities of the position: 
  • Develop and execute on the marketing strategy through multiple vehicles, including leveraging digital communications.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget. Develop and communicate reports to ensure that Marketing efforts are in alignment with company vision and achieving intended results. Make adjustments as conditions require.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the market, key trends, client needs, and competition.
  • Develop and manage a marketing team capable of executing on important business strategies.
  • Work with leaders and managers across multiple business units to translate business objectives into marketing campaigns.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple marketing projects, working with internal partners and external vendors to ensure timelines are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Create communications – internal and external – that position PGIM REF effectively with key stakeholders and further the brand.
  • Coordinate with the COO office to apply marketing expertise to support corporate initiatives.
  • Complete industry surveys and questionnaires.
  • Identify and work with external vendors if needed to further support the marketing strategy.
  • Use data in decision making process.
  • Stay abreast of current marketing trends, techniques, and technology.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 7 years of marketing and project management experience strongly preferred, preferably in an asset management, commercial real estate, or large, financial services organization.
  • Strong business acumen needed with the ability to translate business goals into marketing plans and tangible and measurable (to the extent possible) actions.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Candidate must be strategic while also able to execute on strategy
  • Experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated project management skills with experience in a marketing function.
  • Fluency working with data and spreadsheets.
  • Creative problem solver with the courage and persistency to strive for results.
  • Collaborative working style with an ability to influence others.
  • Comfort working with senior management in a demanding, high profile role.
  • Self-starter with high level of energy, urgency and personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Results-orientation with an ability to execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
