The Vice President, Pay for Performance Programs and Risk Continuum Transformation will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the development of, and execution on accountable care models across all lines of business for OptumCare. This includes establishing a national strategy and approach to operationally execute, monitor, and succeed on programs related to new regulation such as MACRA, and other programs focused on the transformation from fee for service to fee for value. Markets early in the transformation may need to focus on the Merit based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), while developing ACOs and maturing into full risk entities. Working in a complex matrix with multiple stakeholders this role will lead the transformation while assuring flawless execution at each stage.

Own the development and oversight of the Fee for Service to Fee for Value transformation model from an operational perspective – and ensure execution of each stage

Manage by influence the strategic aspects of the business’ Pay for Performance and FFS to Fee for Value transformational programs in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Key matrixed stakeholders include:
Assure businesses are aligned in developing and supporting a sound operational infrastructure with appropriate policies and procedures consistent with these objectives
Engage and collaborate with business partners across Optum to identify methods and best practices of identifying and improving patient health outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational efficiencies within an accountable care model
General areas of responsibility include:
Provide leadership and direction to ensure that local, regional and national operations are in compliance with all applicable federal standards and contracted requirements
Individual will act as the point of accountability for delivering large scale, complex, and cross-organizational projects and/or program strategy deliverables on time and budget
