The Vice President, Technology, Operations and Business Support provides the vision, leadership and organizational planning to ensure the strategic technology solutions and operations meet business objectives and align with corporate goals.  Responsibilities include analyzing end-to-end technology for operational improvements, effectiveness and efficiencies.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the performance of technical functions for each department and make recommendations for improvements
  • Comprehends the overall business strategy, in order to analyze the business processes to improve technical solutions to support the business strategy
  • Works with internal staff at all levels to ensure capability of certain projects and to provide necessary information and achieve a cooperative approach to planning
  • Provides timely, accurate and concise communication across all cross-functional groups. Understands how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully
  • Effectively communicates relevant information to leadership
  • Implements constant performance improvement activities with the people, processes and technologies for strategic deployment
  • Focuses on standardized repeatable processes that meet business needs with efficiency
  • Designs and implements short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure the effectiveness and scalability and of systems will meet existing and future requirements
  • Participates in the development of technical strategies in collaboration with the division’s leadership team
  • Develops technology standards, policies, and procedures related to infrastructure systems, as needed
  • Assists senior leadership in budgeting, metrics, ad hoc projects, and general operational support as required
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (8 additional years of experience beyond the required years may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • 5+ years of Clinical Experience
  • Prior experience with clinical applications
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Experience in presenting complex technology issues/resolutions, and strategic projects to executive management
  • Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and related business functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with effective follow through
  • Ability to communicate ideas and work towards problem solutions
  • Ability to identify, define and metrics for a measurement of success
  • Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years managing or directing application and technology implementations and support teams
  • 5+ years of experience in process improvement and strategic planning
  • Knowledge in the following areas: medical terminology, health care delivery systems and standards of care
