Role of a Virtual Adoption System Engineer for Adoption


Driving adoption for the customer for the products purchased and building solution and empower customers to make the best technical decision to fully explore Cisco’s product capabilities.


Lead and advise customers via the means of demonstration, product technical deep dive, product road-map updates, white papers and best practices.


Uncovering customer challenges and recommending suitable solution to meet their business goals and continue the effort to be the trusted technical advisor.


Clear understanding of the feature sets of the products, the impact of the features and able to communicate clearly for the customers. Ensuring best of outcome and ultimate ownership in the technical area.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • Technical sales experience as a Pre-sales Engineer, Systems engineer, Sales Engineer in the area of Cyber Security.

·      Experience and subject matter expertise supporting security-focused sales and driving Customer Success for Cisco’s Security portfolio.

  • Implementation, configuration and/or Advanced Services or consulting experience is a plus
  • Passionate about the rapidly evolving world of Information Technologies, understand and follow the new technological trends and business models
  • Sound business acumen and excellent soft skills.
  • Strong architectural and technical solution sales skills. Ability to assess problems and challenges, often thinking out of the box to ensure business goals are met in the area of Security.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and strong presentation skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English, other languages a plus - Mandarin, Korean, Japanese.

Pre-sales experience

· Experience with pre-sales, design, positioning solutions, proposing, presenting to customers, demos, Proof of Concept (PoC) etc.


Post Sales (hand-on) experience:

Desired Technical sales experience as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, involved in technical adoption capabilities, and/or the equivalent

  • Hands on experience deploying, installing, configuring, troubleshooting Cisco security products.
  • Deploying security solutions in the customer environments.  
  • Implementing Cisco Security solutions for customers, Advanced Services engineering experience focused in security, Network Consulting with exposure to deployment, configuration, customer interaction, etc.    

Specific Cisco security product and solution experience: 

  • Experience and subject matter expertise with Cisco’s portfolio of Security products
  • Cisco Advanced Malware for Endponts (AMP for Endpoints) (AMP4E)   
  • Cisco Next Gen Firewall (NGFW) - SourceFire, ASA, ASA with Firepower Services, Firepower Threat Defense/FTD)
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Certification – CCIE, CCNA industry Security certification an added advantage
