Description:

This role is responsible for leading global communications strategy for PGIM and its investment managers. S/he will shape and bring to life an organization that makes communications a competitive advantage for both PGIM and Prudential, applying media insight, markets intelligence, and content strategy.

 

In this capacity, this person will:

 

  • Be an integrated, embedded partner to the senior leadership of PGIM, serve as the lead communications advisor to the PGIM CEO and CMO, and oversee a global team advising the leadership of PGIM’s investment management businesses and supporting their growth ambitions.
  • Oversee strategic external communications planning and earned media campaign management globally, including:
  • Informing the editorial vision for PGIM’s content and thought leadership program, and driving campaigns to promote its intellectual capital in compelling, actionable, and differentiated ways.
  • Consulting on conference and sponsorship strategy to optimize executive positioning.
  • Identify and leverage macro trends to inform and position business narratives, and create multi-layered communications plans to amplify these narratives across the right mix of markets as well as traditional, social, digital and earned media channels.
  • Leverage and present the capabilities of the broader Global Marketing Communications organization in a value-added way for the benefit of PGIM.

 

 


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field of academic rigor, advanced degree a plus.

Experience:

  • 15 years of professional experience, preferably a mix of both corporate and consulting backgrounds.

  • Proven ability to partner and deliver strategic business value.
  • Applies insights from analytical tools to shape outcomes.

Leadership mandate:

  • Define and realize an ambitious global organizational vision.

Technical requirements:

  • Sophisticated understanding of asset management industry, culture and corresponding client profile.
  • News judgement and media relations experience.
  • Knowledge of content and channel strategy across traditional, social and emerging platforms.
  • Ability to package and present insight using tools and language familiar to businesses.

  • Global worldview, knowledge of geopolitical and macroeconomic forces, and insatiable intellectual curiosity.
