Position Description

As a Director within our network contracting team, you’ll guide the development and support of provider networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with Hospital or Ancillary providers, and ensure the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties
  • Develop detailed, and concise strategy and plans to yield desired outcome of the organization or multiple business unit
  • network configuration and incentive - based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency
  • Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
  • Make product, service or process decisions that are most likely to impact multiple functions and / or customer accounts
  • Own or Lead end to end contracting process including, but not limited to, using available technology to create contracts, negotiate financial and contract terms, and implement final contract

 



Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 10+ years of experience in a network management - related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results
  • 10+ years of experience in the health care industry
  • 5+ years of experience in utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing a medical cost and administrative budget
  • 5+ years of experience with provider contracting
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Knowledge of hospital and facility reimbursement methodologies such as DRGs, APCs, Per - diem, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information form others, including but not limited to reimbursement policy standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
