Description:

The VP of Product Management is responsible for leading the strategic vision and delivery execution of the full suite of ADP Canada products. The role will lead the team of product owners and product managers (10-13) who are responsible for understanding market requirements, organizational readiness and delivering comprehensive solutions that delight the end users. The role is also responsible for the development and management and product management of any partners that work in conjunction with our ADP Canada product portfolio. Strategically partner with Business Unit leadership, Sales and Service Leaders, Developers and Product Managers across the business to ensure vision/strategy is aligned and is being applied consistently in all markets. In addition to developing new innovative products and improving existing products, the role will be responsible for ensuring a smooth upgrade and significant benefit to clients moving to our latest offerings by effectively engaging critical internal and external stakeholders. Finally, the Vice President Product Management will be the internal and external champion for our products, driving excitement to and from the market, partners and the internal leadership team alike.

The Vice President Product Management manages an area that serves the product community at large. The position demands the highest level of product management expertise and experience. The ideal candidate will have broad experiences which include Strategic Planning, Agile Product Management, People Management and Portfolio Analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • MBA and/or advanced Technical Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a market-facing software and enterprise solutions product role.
  • Strong people management, coaching and performance management experience required.
  • Experience in Human Capital Management software, services, support, implementation and development processes is highly desirable.
  • Broad product management experience in an Agile environment. Agile training and methodologies for product management and development.
  • Significant knowledge of the Canadian business to business market required.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership will be a huge asset; authored articles, speaking and/or moderating experience at industry trade conferences desirable.
  • Must be able to build and lead strong product teams that achieve high standards of performance.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without having a formal reporting relationship.
  • Excellent written, communication, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills required, including representing ADP externally to our clients and the market. Ability to work under tight deadlines, juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through complex organizations and develop networked relationships.
  • Strong project management and strategic interactive skills.
  • Creative yet analytical - uses data to support and drive recommendations.
  • Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible and constantly changing environment.
