Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer for Workplace Solutions group, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the execution of the strategic roadmap for Workplace Solutions.  As part of this work, the Individual will be focused on the acceleration and advancement of the overarching US business strategy while supporting the underlying business strategies for two major business segments - Group Insurance and Retirement.

The individual will build and lead a high-caliber team of individuals that will operate in a controlled and regulated, high-change, growth-oriented environment. The individual may oversee external resources. 

The person will work closely with senior leadership across the organization and will be supporting individuals that will be leading several high-profile initiatives, where rapid test and learn, detailed learning agendas, strong financial modeling, and new partnership models will be important. 

This leader will be expected to have strong collaboration skills that will be used to partner and drive alignment across the organization.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Organize and deploy the strategy team to support key strategic efforts and drive execution around our Strategic Agenda.
  • Build a high performing strategy team and develop a consulting tool kit within the team and throughout the organization, where needed.
  • Ensure optimal balance of time, resources, and spend across the organization to ensure underlying businesses meet / exceed performance targets while advancing strategic objectives.
  • Drive the strategic management process to ensure proper focus and debate as we move forward.
  • Own and drive M&A and partnership roadmap and process.
  •  “Connect the dots” across the organization to maximize business impact and ensure efficient deployment of time, resource, and efforts.
  • Bring external perspectives to the table to challenge thinking, accelerate actions, or guard against blind spots.

  • 5 years management consulting experience at a professional management consulting firm
  • Business strategy experience and a proven track record of success driving change in a large organization
  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Demonstrated experience managing a diverse team of professionals
  • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience evaluating and executing transactions
  • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling skills required to develop financial business cases to support a strategic agenda
  • 5 years business experience in financial services
  • Ability to quickly develop a deep knowledge of the company, Industry, products and services
  • Ability to drive a team to achieve results with a demonstrated ability to develop and lead diverse talent
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving and changing environment
