Functional Areas

  • Assignment of orders to forklift operators
  • Manage workload by coordinating all orders and unloads to meet shipping and pick-up schedules.
  • Support supervisors through analysis of workload, including degree of difficulty of each load/unload.
  • Insure completion of daily dock schedule, including customer, STO, case pick, and line loading activities.
  • Support inventory control, lot management, equipment utilization, and scheduling activities
  • Insure hold product is systematically captured and recorded under the correct status in WMS.
  • Assign live or drop carriers to dock door that yields most efficient loading / unloading cost
  • Research orders / pick up numbers via WMS and SAP
  • Support the supervisor in managing age of stock in WMS.
  • Manage product availability (i.e. - product cuts) through proper analysis of all shortages and use of reason codes.
  • Assist supervisor and forklift operators in all WMS inventory control issues.
  • Coordinate timely check out of vessels according to end of period guidelines.
  • Coordinate periodic WMS system maintenance.
  • Insure work is assigned and coordinated with supervisors in order to meet employee rotations
  • Support efficient document control:
  • Bills of lading for shipments and receipts
  • Customer returns
  • Dock schedules
  • Yard checks


  • Completion of BOS inspections


  • Support new materials and product testing on the shift
  • Insure product status is accurate (Inspection, QA Hold, Shippable, or Incubation)
  • Insure inbound damage is segregated and recorded.
  • Insure trailer specifications meet guidelines

Customer Service

  • Meet all customer driven initiatives
  • Exceed critical customer service KPI's (Fill Rate, RAD, Line Load %)
  • Complete all OS&D and customer returns
  • Utilization of ATP report and key WMS functions to support customer service


  • Monitor arrival and departures in order to minimize detention expense
  • Support product rotation and minimize old age products

Administrative / Other

  • Demonstrate effective communication, motivation, and leadership skills
  • Maintain a professional approach and appearance for work activities
  • Be able to flex work schedule to support a 24x7 operation, including 12 hour shifts and weekends
