Job Description



Performs a variety of manual tasks related to the operations of warehouses. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores item according to delivery or routing documents, or management instructions. Examples of work include: receiving, storing and issuing materiels such as medical supplies, surgical supplies, housekeeping supplies, office supplies, furniture and equipment; delivering and installing supplies, furniture, etc; maintaining office equipment and furniture and making minor repairs; assembling small tools and equipment; keeping inventory records manually and by computer; operating machinery related to storage and materiel moving such as forklift, pallet jack, dollies and hand trucks. Stacks and piles materiels in a safe manner at the specified locations. Drives a truck between mid to large size with at least 2 ton capacity to pick up or deliver cargo within a local area. Records travel and vehicle maintenance information in logs. Operates a winch, hoist, or other equipment to unload or load truck.  May prepare a delivery statement, or a receipt for goods picked up or delivered.  Also performs related duties as required in large warehouse facilities. Routinely requires some heavy lifting.

Job Requirements



  1. Requires a legal (valid) driver’s license, Class C drivers license desired.

  2. Ability to work independently (self-starter), quickly, accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines, heavy workloads and in the presence of customers while producing desired results.

  3. Math and analytical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide to count inventory, perform measurements, and calculate total work order times.
